フードメニューが充実しているバーというと、ややもすると居酒屋のような雰囲気になってしまいがちですが、オードビーはその点でしっかり「バー」であるのが嬉しい、お勧めのお店です。
食事はマスターが一人で担当しているようで、お客さんの多いときなどは少し料理を待たされることがあります。しかし、味は並みのレストランを上回るレベルで、先斗町で小腹が空いている時など、真っ先に候補に挙がるお店です。カクテルも、しっかり美味しいものが出てきます。食べ物と飲み物、そして雰囲気のバランスが高い次元でとれているあたりは、さすが京都のバー。
見つけやすいお店ではありませんが、一養軒ほどの難易度ではありません。四条から歩いて行くと、だいたいいつも歌舞練場を見て行き過ぎたことに気がつきＵターン。右側を注意深く見ながら南下して辿り着くパターンです。
