京都市営地下鉄四条駅から徒歩すぐの当店。刺身が旨いとの評判で、金曜日の夜、予約して友人と訪問。外観から京都らしい雰囲気が漂う。店内はカウンターと奥に座敷があり、店員さんのイキのいい声と客の楽しそうな会話が飛び交っている。今日は二人なので、カウンターの予約席に。少し窮屈なのはご愛嬌。途中、予約なしのお客が何組も来られるも、全て断っておられたから、人気店であることがよく分かる。つきだしからスタートし、ぶり大根、ポテサラ、穴子の天ぷら、天然魚の刺し盛り、鰯の塩焼き、地鶏の塩焼き、金目鯛の煮付けと食べ進めながら、京都の地酒月の桂を頂いた。素材が新鮮で全ての料理に技を感じる旨さであったが、量は全体的に少な目。メニューはオーソドックス。全国の銘酒が揃っているのはいい。最後に果物のデザートサービスがあった。ちょっといいところのザ・居酒屋さんといった感じ。
