京都の「お約束」

できれば、１シーズンに一度訪れたいと思いつつ、ようやく再訪と相成りました。
移転してしばらく経ったせいか、以前よりもいい意味での落ち着きが感じられます。
シェフとマダムのお二人体制に戻ったせいでしょうか。
この日のお料理も概ね期待に違わぬもの。特に、いつもながらのフォアグラの焼き加減に感動。。。。
ただ、最初から最後まで魂を持っていかれるまでには今回は至りませんでした。
以前は、ここにしかない味というものが、そこかしこにあったような気がするのですが・・・・。
次回も期待しています！

早いものでもう今年のマイベストを総括する時期になりました。
以前よりお世話になっているこのお店も移転後のレビューを書かないと
マイベストにランクインさせられないということに気づき、
投稿と相成りました。
さて、今回は移転後初めての来訪！
第一印象は空間がとても広がり、ビストロからレストランっぽくなったこと。
今回は、テーブル席に案内されましたが、テーブル席はすべて丸テーブルという贅沢さ。
ゆったりと食事を愉しんでもらいたいという思いの表れと拝見しました。
テーブル席から映る木々は季節毎にその姿を変え、食事のよいアクセントになってくれそうです。
以前は厨房と席が近く、次のお皿の準備をしている様子が臨場感豊かに伝わってきたものですが、
その楽しみがなくなってしまったのはちょっぴり残念。
でも、落ち着いて食事を愉しむには今の姿の方がいいのかもしれません。
移転から日も浅く、まだまだ試行錯誤の最中とお二人は仰せでしたが、
今後、どのように進化していくのか、目が離せません！

Corona, the weak yen... I believe that this is a difficult time for French cuisine. Aside from the rising prices of wine, our specialty foie gras has also risen in price (surprisingly), making it difficult to see it these days. Perhaps due to such external factors, I feel a strong sense of "return to Japanese" these days. For example, jelly made with plenty of Japanese dashi stock, and Densuke conger eel, which has become more common recently. This is Japanese-style French cuisine cuisine that would go well with sake except for the main dish. At least compared to before, I feel that there has been an evolution to a style that says "Bordeaux is not for you." Speaking of the main course, it's unfortunate that there used to be two options but now there's only one, but I understand that this is a response to the current economic environment, and I cheer them on in my heart.
