予約しなければ購入出来ない名店・嘯月の和菓子を頂けるカフェということで伺いました。
知らずに2時45分に伺いましたが、和菓子は1時半頃の入荷だそうです。
嘯月の和菓子のセット1300円は、道明寺、上用饅頭、きんとんの3つのサンプルを見て選択し、飲み物はドリンクメニューからの選択になります。煎茶とほうじ茶は茶葉も2・3 種あります。
友人は道明寺・満珠菊とアイスコーヒー、私は上用饅頭・重ね菊と煎茶(朝宮茶)をチョイス。
朝宮茶の一煎目は、お出しのように旨味がある濃いけど苦みのない、本当に美味しいお茶です。小さなお猪口サイズのお茶碗でしたが、その小ささに意味があると思いました。
ニ煎目は普通の小ぶりなお茶碗で直ぐにサーブされます。美味しいお茶ですが、一煎目の濃さはなく違いを感じます。でも後味に旨味が残ります。
嘯月の和菓子は餡がさらりと美味しいです。上用饅頭はしっかりした硬さ、道明寺は柔らかいピンク色の餡でした。
一つ隣のテーブルの男性一人で和菓子を2つ食べています。2セット頼んだのでしょうか。和菓子単独でも食べれたのでしょうか？
小ぶりで美味しいので2セット軽く頂けます。抹茶とほうじ茶とか飲み物替えてというのも有りと思います。
嘯月は、名店中の名店と言われる和菓子のお店で、季節を表す和菓子なので、季節を替えて、また伺いたいと思いました。
