これは美味い京寿司、鯖はトロトロだ
京都散策はまず東山から。
八坂神社にお参りの後は、目星をつけていたこちらの店へ。入って一人だというと奥の空いている席へどうぞというので、空いている4人がけテーブルへ座る。テーブルには紫陽花の花。粋だね。
ビール大瓶を頼んで、じゃあ何にするかとメニューを見る。鯖寿司は外せないようだが、それ以外も美味そう。で、鯖寿司3貫と鯵寿司4貫の鯖鯵を注文。
5分ほどで持ってきてくれた店員が、鯖寿司は昆布を外して食べてくださいと言う。そういうものなんだ。
醤油などはない。そのまま食べるのが作法なんだね。鯵寿司は普通に美味かったが、鯖寿司の美味さがすごい。肉厚の鯖の脂ののりとその旨味。トロトロの仕上がり。これは絶品。
常連と思われる客が武漢ウィルスのせいでずっと来られなくて、来たくて来たくてたまらなかったみたいな話をしているのが聞こえたが、確かにここの寿司、定期的に食べたくなる美味しさだ。
お勘定をしてごちそうさまと言うと、おぉきに、という声があちこちから。良いね。

東京から遊びに来た友人と。
1時くらいに着いたら店の前に行列。慣れない筆で名前を書いて待つこと20分くらい？で入店。
ビール、そして連れは鯖と鯵の寿司、僕は箱寿司を注文。
2人で来たのは初めてだが、2人分の注文を一つの皿に載せてくるんだ。その盛りが美しい。箱寿司はカラフルだしね。でも写真では伝わらないな。
ビール飲みつつ、2人で美味い美味いと言いながらたいらげる。
この店、老舗だけどお高くとまった感じがなくて落ち着いた雰囲気が京都で食べてる〜という満足感につながる良い店だ。
