9月に行われたいよてつ高島屋の「京の老舗名品展」にて、『京甘味 文の助茶屋』の「抹茶あんみつ」を試しました。
『文の助茶屋』は明治43年創業の老舗茶店。落語家の二代目桂文之助が高台寺の門前茶屋を継承し開いたとか。現在は二年坂からほど近い閑静な町並みへ移転。変わりゆく京の都を憂い、「京に田舎あり」という言葉を文之助が好んだことから、昔ながらの素朴な味と田舎風の雰囲気を今に伝えるそう。
名物は米麹を使った甘酒とわらび餅らしいんですが、家人の土産として今回の品を頂きました。
【抹茶あんみつ(472円)】
カップの表書きには“宇治の抹茶を使った雅な味”とあります。抹茶寒天と白玉、粒餡と栗、抹茶黒蜜がそれぞれ別容器に収まってるので、それらをオンして食します。黒蜜の量はお好みで調節できますね。
抹茶の渋い香味。プリンとした歯応えが楽しめる寒天。備中大納言を使用した餡は円やかながら、しっかりした甘み。黒蜜にまで抹茶をミックスし、柔らかな苦味とのハーモニー。ひとつひとつの素材はきちんと吟味されたものかと思いますし、ストレートな王道スタイルとして悪くないかと。
ただなんと言うか、ピンと来ないですね。どこが悪いってワケじゃないんですが、特にときめかないし、雅さを感じるポイントも見えません。栗もいまひとつだったし。実際に本店で食べると違うのかな…。
☆3.0といった感ですが、1品のみでは店の真価を計れないので採点無しということでm(_ _)m
