夏限定（7〜9月）で、二条城にて、京料理『いそべ』さんの朝食がいただけるという情報をキャッチ！京都滞在に合わせて予約しました。食事会場は、普段は一般公開していない 二条城の中にある『香雲亭』。かつては、ダイアナ妃もこちらで食事をしたとか。
朝8時半の開始時間に合わせて、宿を出発しました。
タクシーを拾い、「二条城へ」と告げると、「二条城で朝ご飯かい？」と運転手さん。この時間に二条城に行く人は、朝食が目的のお客様らしい（笑）
8時に二条城 開門。8時20分に『香雲邸』に入場です。今年で3年目の開催だそうですが、限定40席が全て満席！
暑い部屋を覚悟していましたが、中に入ると冷んやり。重要文化財に登録されていないため、エアコンが使えるらしいです。
8時半。お料理の説明とともにモーニングスタート。
京の湯葉粥御膳をいただきました。
野菜のジュレ、湯葉のお刺身、茄子の田楽、野菜の煮物などが涼しげに並んでおり、湯葉入りの温かいお粥が付きます。外の庭園の景色を眺めながらの朝食は、貴重な体験でした。
