PR for restaurants |
17:00-22:30 Reopening as a Kyoto-style Obanzai and Fried Skewers restaurant
From September 4, 2016, we changed the business model from Italian Cuisine bar to Kushikatsu. We would like to thank all our customers who have used Enoteca Irodori and apologize for any inconvenience |
My friend from Tokyo came back to his hometown during the long weekend, so we went to Gion for a drink. We decided to go to this restaurant because it was a bit casual. It was a little after 7pm on a Friday, but when I called, they said there were seats available. When I got there, there were two customers ahead of me, and about five or six customers after me. I ordered a five-piece vegetable set (500 yen), a five-piece meat set (900 yen), and a three-item side dish platter (600 yen). For drinks, I ordered a bottle of non-alcoholic beer and a glass of beer (600 yen). Perhaps because it's Gion, Fried Skewers seem a little pricey, and the beer is only served in a wine glass-like goblet (about 300cc for 600 yen), so the drinks seem a little more expensive. If I had ordered refills, the beer alone would have cost about 2,000 to 3,000 yen. I was surprised to see that one of the five meat sets was a red sausage. I also ordered the recommended obanzai, but I felt that the portions were not enough for the price. Perhaps it's because of the location in Gion-Shijo, and the staff's fluent English, I feel that it is more geared towards inbound foreign tourists. The atmosphere is good, and the two male staff members are very helpful, but I wonder if it's possible that it was empty on a Friday night. The atmosphere was good and it was empty, so I was able to enjoy a leisurely conversation, but I'm not sure if I'll visit again.
