17:00-22:30 Reopening as a Kyoto-style Obanzai and Fried Skewers restaurant
From September 4, 2016, we changed the business model from Italian Cuisine bar to Kushikatsu. We would like to thank all our customers who have used Enoteca Irodori and apologize for any inconvenience |
りと 英語: After enjoying some food tours in Nishiki Market, it's finally time to head out for sightseeing Using the one-day bus pass that I had purchased before heading to Nishiki Market, I hop on the bus After about 30 minutes of swaying on the bus, we arrive at the bus stop near Kiyomizu-dera Temple A short walk from the bus stop, I arrive at Kiyomizu-dera Temple, which I haven't visited since I was in elementary school Looking up, I feel a sense of power from the graceful architecture Feeling excited, I take one step at a time up the stairs The leaves are dyed deep red Kyoto in autumn is so beautiful Once we reach the top, we pay the admission fee and head off to Kiyomizu Stage After a short walk, we arrive at Kiyomizu Stage This vast panoramic view is invigorating After this, Y-chan goes to a lucky charm shop and buys an all-purpose lucky charm that works for anything (lol) Who knows? I'll follow her example and buy the same all-purpose lucky charm that works for anything somewhere else Will it actually work? After exploring Kiyomizu-dera Temple to my heart's content, it gradually became dark. I wanted to go to a Kyoto Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) at night, so I looked around for one, but I couldn't find anything that suited me. While I was thinking about what to do, I remembered Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) that Kazuhiko Ota had visited in Gion. I called, but it was full, but they said they would call me when a spot became available, so I headed towards the Izakaya (Japanese-style bar). My destination was a restaurant called "Kitazato", but my feet were hurting from walking quite a bit, so I decided to settle down there if there was an Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) near "Kitazato". After walking through the streets of Gion for about 10 minutes, I successfully found the location of "Kitazato". From there, I looked for an Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) nearby and found several, but I was attracted by the words "Kyoto Obanzai and Fried Skewers" and decided to stop in at that restaurant. "Kyoto Obanzai and Fried Skewers Irodori" When I looked inside, there were not many customers, so I went in without much expectation. I never thought I would be glad I went in. Entering the restaurant and sitting down at a vacant table, I am finally able to rest my feet. Thinking that I really should be walking on a regular basis, I take a look at the menu the waiter brings me. The menu on the blackboard is today's recommendations. As the name of the restaurant suggests, the main menu consists of side dishes and skewered deep Fried Skewers foods. As I wasn't expecting much, I start with Fried Skewers, a ``5-piece vegetable set'' and a ``5-piece meat set'', to see what's going on. After waiting about 3 minutes, the beer to soothe my tired body arrives. ``Secret technique! "Air Cheers" arrives in Kyoto for the first time I was tired from walking and my body was craving a beer, and the beer was so delicious I checked out the items that changed the flavor while waiting for Fried Skewers to be fried. Besides the sauce, there was also rock salt, plum salt, and curry salt. If you've made Tempura you'll know, but salt is used on Fried Skewers I was a little curious, so I tried using it depending on the ingredients of the Fried Skewers A minute before the skewers arrived, Fried Skewers was brought out first. Nothing can start without cabbage, an essential ingredient for Fried Skewers. As I was biting into the cabbage, Fried Skewers were fried immediately. The vegetables are huge, and I had a feeling this will be a hit. Let's start with the meat Fried Skewers We have the traditional sauce. Hmm, this is quite good. The batter is finely textured and has a light, crispy texture that is nice. The meat available was "beef fillet", "pork fillet", "pork belly", "chicken thigh", and "red sausage", but the best was the "chicken thigh". The crispy batter and the super tender chicken are a delicious combination Needless to say, the beer disappears in no time The vegetables include onions, eggplant, pumpkin, lotus root, and zucchini The larger vegetables are quite bold, but perhaps because of the excellent batter, the flavor is well-balanced If you ask which skewer is better, the meat or vegetable Fried Skewers, it's definitely the vegetables These Fried Skewers are of an extremely high quality The beer disappeared in no time, and I was wondering what to do about a refill, when Y-chan went to the toilet, and I discovered a sign that she hadn't seen before. Premium Fried Skewers "Maou" costs 600 yen? I found it amusing to hear her say, "This is too much service, I might cry," and ordered "Maou" on the rocks I was going to "Kitazato" later, but I ended up ordering more than I expected Since "Kitazato" hasn't called me yet, I think I'll order some obanzai too "Obanzai platter" This also looks delicious All the side dishes are minimally seasoned, and the taste of the vegetables with the dashi stock is comforting I just can't help but drink the ``Maou'' After that, I ordered a variety of Fried Skewers as a single item Y-chan sometimes orders Fried Skewers for dessert, but no matter what it is, I casually ordered the ``cheesecake'', which was absolutely delicious In the end, I ordered one more ``Maou'' on the rocks, and as I was enjoying the additional Fried Skewers, I got a call from ``Kitazato'', saying ``thank you for the meal'' I walked into the restaurant without high expectations, but was thrilled to be able to find such delicious Fried Skewers The staff were also very friendly, and I felt at ease not only in my feet but also in my heart It seems the charm worked right away
