《シリーズ ホテルの朝食》
祇園に建つ宿泊特化形ホテル。
近くにある老舗天ぷら料亭 八坂圓堂 と提携した館内のレストランで上品なブッフェが楽しめる。
お客の9割くらいは外国の観光客だ。
メニューも洋と和の両方に対応していた。ベーコンやスクランブルエッグ、シリアルなどを置きつつ、銅板のドームの中で職人さんが揚げた天ぷらをサービスすると言った懲りよう。これは喜ばれるだろう。
サラダは食べやすい分量に一皿一皿盛り付けられていたり、天ぷらも小さいものを多種用意したり、その気の使い方が嬉しい。
小生の大好きなベーコンがシナシナの肉厚であったことが少し残念だだったが…。
そして、その場で豆を挽いてドリップするコーヒーマシーンが1台しかないのが辛かった。外国の人達は必ず飲むし沢山飲むし。並ぶのも時間がないので、テイクアウト用のタンクからコーヒーを頂いた。
とは言え、ホテルの朝食会場としてはかなり好感度な印象。
