友人宅への手土産としてテイクアウトで利用させていただきました。
ウェスティンは何度か利用しておりますが京都のこちらのお店は初めてです。
季節のフルーツとして苺をふんだんに使ったケーキがとても可愛らしく美味しそうでした。
お値段が1つ800円以上するので少しお高めだと思いましたが、大きさも通常よりは大きく、苺がたくさん入っていそうだったので、あまおうを使ったイチゴのケーキを購入しました。
子供がチョコレートケーキを食べたいと言ったのでそちらも購入。
実際に私が食べたのはチョコレートケーキのみですが、お味は正直いまいちでした。
スポンジがパサパサしていて、口に残る感じがあまり好みではありません。
チョコレートケーキですが、甘さは控えめで、あっさりした大人のチョコレートケーキといった感じです。スポンジさえよければ印象が変わったかもしれません。
友人が食べたイチゴのケーキは、美味しかったみたいです。
