キムラ緑子も学生時代バイトしていた京大近くの1975年創業ビィヤントさん。歴代の京大生は1度は訪問したであろう、と考えれば45年で何万人のエリートのお腹を満たしたんだ？カツカレーだし合格祈願にも良いと思われます。
ビィヤント(フランス語)＝素早い。着席・注文してからはさすが素早い。カツ担当が素早く揚げ、同時にライス担当がサフランライスを盛る。揚がったカツをライス担当が受取り、一口大に切り分け、再度カツ担当に渡りカレールーを全体に注ぐ。時にマルチ、時にイベントドリブンの見事なプレー
注文は「カツカレー辛口」。サフランライスを平皿に盛り揚げたてのカツ、その上に弱粘度のイエローなカレールー。サフランライスとカツの３つのイエローコントラストで見た目がノスタルジック。お店のレトロ感といい、私の好きな札幌の「コロンボ」を思い出した。
そして一口。その味はかなりスパイシーで辛い。カテゴライズされている欧風カレーではありません。これはスパイス中心カレーです。私はスパイスカレーと呼んでよいと思います。脳にガツンと来る刺激は素晴らしく、食後も全く胃もたれしませんでした
