From the bustling city of Kyoto, I went to this restaurant where time flows slowly and peacefully again. I have been going there since I was a student. It is still as good as ever. For lunch, you get a plate with salad and a main dish (you can choose chicken or pork), homemade tofu with dashi sauce, clear soup with pea sprouts, and rice. Drinks and desserts are available upon request. Desserts are inexpensive at "Kumicho". If you like it lighter, you can ask and they will adjust the amount of rice. They recently released a new menu for lunch. I would like to try it. This restaurant really shines at night, so if you like lunch, I recommend trying their great menu items for the evening. The orange ginger and XO sauce stir fry are the best. The manager, his wife, and the staff all welcome you with a smile. It warms your stomach and your heart. It is a recommended restaurant, both in the past and now. I hope I can go again someday.
