My daughter took me there because French cuisine on Kyoto University's grounds was so popular that it was difficult to get a reservation. Kyoto University is huge, isn't it? I thought about it again. There is no parking lot, and the Times is located in a building called Japan Italy Kyoto Kaikan just west of the intersection of Higashioji Street and Higashiyama Higashiichijo. That seems to be the nearest parking lot. From there, walk for about 5 minutes and you will see the main gate where you can see Kyoto University's 100th anniversary clock tower. If you enter the clock tower straight from there, you will find the store on the left. There is a co-op in the foreground selling souvenirs, so students' families probably come and eat them before buying them. I understand how you feel. I feel like buying it even though I don't need it lol The inside of the store is quite spacious. There are 3 types of lunch menus.The most expensive one is 4400 yen, but this time I went for the middle one, 3300 yen. Choose between hors d'oeuvres or soup, followed by a fish dish, Meat Dishes, dessert, and coffee course.In my opinion, it was a proper French meal. I wonder if it's to teach table manners to students. Tasty but not amazing. However, I could see Kyoto University students walking around from the window, and I thought that the families of Kyoto University students who come here would be happy, and that this is a restaurant where you can experience more than just the taste of the food.
