京都東山にあるタンドリーチキン専門店、メニューも料理はタンドリーチキンのみ、ドリンクも水出しウーロン茶とビールにグラスワインだけです。それでいて高評価なので気になってたお店です。昼に予約して訪問しました。
店内はテーブルが3,4卓、キッチンも広くはないですが、絵画が架かっていて、オペラが流れる店内、近くに美術館や演劇場があるのも関係してか、格調高い欧風の雰囲気です。店内入ると、一応メニューは出されますが、選ぶのはドリンクのみ、赤のグラスワインを頼みました。
タンドリーチキンは10分ほどで提供されます。自分のイメージするタンドリーチキンは、香辛料とヨーグルトに漬けた辛味のあるスパイス料理味だけど、こちらは香辛料はそれほと効いていません。ヨーグルトの甘味や酸味があるわけでもなく、かなり鶏の素に近い味です。皮はパリッと、中は柔らかくジューシーな蒸し焼き加減は流石です。インド料理と言うより、レストランのメインディッシュの一皿みたいです。野菜もかなり色々な野菜が良い焼き加減で美味しかったです。
ちなみに、烏丸にこちらのお店監修のフライドチキンの店もあるとのこと、そちらも是非行ってみたいです。
