Descending Mt. Daimonji ②
On a nice day, you might want to climb Mt. Daimonji. On this day, it was sunny from the morning and I took a walk to the Daimonji Mountain Fire Center. After enjoying the spectacular view, I headed down the mountain, and since I was early, I took a detour to Ginkakuji Temple. And for lunch, I went to Vietnamese French cuisine Xuan, which I had made a reservation for from Daimonjiyama. In my mind, the course from Mt. Daimonji to Mr. Suan is complete. (Laughs) I was allowed to sit at the counter as usual. The previous menu has changed, and this time I ordered the lunch course Saigon District 1 for ¥3,182 (excluding tax) and 4x red wine. The contents were almost the same: Hors d'oeuvres, Vietnamese salad, Paine Xeo Pho (char siu selection), dessert (Vietnamese pudding selection), drinks (Vietnamese coffee selection) This time too, we had a delicious and enjoyable time.

Last time I was here, I decided I wanted to eat Vietnamese hotpot when it got cold. Etnan Seafood hotpot ¥5,800 (excluding tax) (reservations required several days in advance) Order white wine and red wine x 3. As I was eating fresh spring rolls, a pot with pre-boiled ingredients that were difficult to boil was placed on the cassette stove on the counter. When you take off the lid, a nice aroma of soup wafts through the restaurant. The ingredients are yellowtail, shrimp, large clams, homemade tempura paste, and plenty of vegetables such as coriander. The master will explain the order in which things should be added to the pot, so you don't have to worry about the need for a nabe magistrate. (LOL) A unique soup that suits everyone, with four types of condiments such as ginger, lime, chopped green onions, and fried onions. And the final dish is pho, which is delicious with various ingredients in the soup stock. I was satisfied again this time with Ice cream and Vietnamese coffee for dessert. The master and mom are kind to me, and I think the Vietnamese hotpot will warm you up in the bitter cold of Kyoto.
