京阪本線・七条駅から七条通を東に5分ほど歩いたところ。三十三間堂の東側、国立京都博物館の向かいにあるホテル、ハイアットリージェンシー京都には、スイートルーム4室を含む全189室の客室とともに3つのレストランがあります。
このうちのイタリアンレストラン「トラットリア セッテ」の一角にはベーカリーが併設されていて、ホテルメイドの焼きたてパンやグリッシーニ、フォカッチャをはじめ、季節のフルーツを使用したペストリーなどを販売されています。
ホテル館内だけでなく七条通り側にもエントランスがあり、少しばかりの席を設けて、テイクアウトだけでなくイートインでも利用できる、気軽に立ち寄れるカジュアルなスペースとなっています。
ハイアットリージェンシー京都で宿泊の際、外での夕食の後、部屋でのデザートとするため、利用しました。チーズケーキとプリンを購入。
チーズケーキはベイクドタイプ。どっしりとした風合いで濃厚な味わいです。中心部と外周部との微妙の味と食感の違いが楽しい。
プリンはイチゴやラズベリー、ブルーベリーなどがたっぷりトッピングています。フルーツの酸味とクリーミーで濃厚なプリンとの相性は良好。カラメルソースのほろ苦さもいいですね。
翌朝、自宅でいただくためのパンも購入しました。セミハードのカンパーニュで、クランベリーと胡桃が練り込まれています。
ビニールの包みを開けた瞬間に華やかな香りが広がり、噛み締めると小麦の風味が口に広がります。クランベリーの酸味と胡桃の食感もいい。後引く美味しさのあるパンです。
ホテルメイドの高品質のパンの割には、値段も高くない。これは他のパンも試してみたくなりました。
