I went to Yamadori, which opened near Hankyu Kyoto Saiin Station last September. The location is on the south side of Nishioji Shijo going west. This is the tenant where Suiba was previously located. Suiba-san really doesn't have the same momentum as before... I haven't checked whether the store is related to Sorrel. Well, the style is Yakiniku (Grilled meat)-style Yakitori. I get the impression that they purchase very fresh and good quality chicken, including the whole dish. However, although the freshness is good, in terms of meat quality, even if this style is unavoidable, it is still a story compared to a regular yakitori restaurant. In Saiin's case, [a:26025184, Nishino] is also there, and Kushihachi's yakitori isn't bad either. Under such circumstances, when I decided to pursue this style, I realized that freshness alone would not be enough. In addition, since orders are completely self-ordering, at first glance it may seem very logical, but since the customers prepare the food themselves, the cooking is completely left unattended, giving the appearance of a management policy that emphasizes only rationality. On this day, the restaurant had just opened, so the table I was served at was very cold, so I was freezing while eating, but due to the system, there was no way the restaurant staff would have noticed. I think it's better. The tataki was certainly specialized, but it was pretty average, and so far there wasn't anything on the menu that I wanted to repeat. For your reference.
