高校の修学旅行で、北野天満宮境内茶店で初めて食べた長五郎餅。こし餡とお餅のやわらかさ、見た目の美しさの感動が忘れられず、以降京都に来る度に必ず食べています。
境内茶店が限定営業（毎月25日＆北野天満宮で行事のある日）とも知らず、本店の場所を見つけるのにずいぶん時間が掛かりました（←ネット普及途上だったので）。
2度と食べれないかもと思った時もあり、本店を見つけた時の感動は忘れられません。
京都駅の伊勢丹、四条河原町の高島屋の食品街でも購入できます。本店はお茶（煎茶or抹茶）とのセットがおすすめ！
