花街の中でも、上七軒は西陣が栄えていた頃は距離の近さもあって栄華を極めたそうです。
10年ほど前にはメイン通りを石畳にし、電柱も無くし京都の中でも特に素晴らしい街並みになっており、祇園と比べるとこぶりで現在の市内中心部からは遠い分、人出も多過ぎず雰囲気は抜群。
このお店は、北野天満宮東門前にある1945年(第二次大戦終戦の年)仕出屋からスタートした老舗京料理店で、おかもと紅梅庵と称している。
入口は広く無い京町屋の奥に長い廊下の奥に個室ゾーンがある。部屋は小庭に面している。掘りごたつで、この日は肌寒くなってきたので足元が温められうれしい。
梅コース税込11,000円の11月の献立をいただいた。
前菜：たこ酢味噌和え いくら 甘エビ塩辛
お造り：鯛 まぐろ かます 剣先いか
椀替：土瓶蒸し
蒸し物：えび芋まんじゅう
焼物：西京焼き 鯛ふくさ焼き
揚物：はも 帆立と海老しんじょう変わり衣万願寺とうがらし 椎茸
ご飯：炊き込みご飯

水物：グレープシャーベット メロン 梨
お料理は旬の食材のお料理のコースで、薄味だが上質な出汁を感じられて素晴らしかったです。
特に炊き込みご飯は、鯛など数種類の中から選べるというたいそう珍しいもので、鱧を選びましたが、甘く炊かれたものはこれまでにいただいた炊き込みご飯の中でも最高の一品でした。
