Mitomiemon's gourmet website has started. Homepage: https://blog.33inc.jp/ Instagram: @mitomi_emon I visited the Japanese Cuisine restaurant "Goryouri Mitsuyasu" in Kyoto. It is located in the Imperial Palace South. The restaurant was renovated from a 150-year-old Kyoto townhouse with a tasteful atmosphere. The kitchen is located in the center, and private rooms are set up in the front and back on either side of it. It is a unique layout, but it is rather comfortable. Despite being private rooms, they are loosely connected to the kitchen, creating an exquisite distance. Tasteful antiques have quietly participated in creating the space, creating a calm and refined atmosphere. And the good taste is clearly conveyed from the food and tableware. The overall impression of the food is that it is simple and delicious, with respect for the ingredients. It is not flashy, but its simplicity makes it beautiful, and its simplicity conveys the superiority of the ingredients. The chef is quiet, just like the impression of the food, but he has a strong core. Please take a look at this beautiful, nutritious, and delicious course. "Porridge with ash and chickweed" This wild grass porridge is very nutritious and warms the body from the inside. Perhaps it plays a role similar to tea? "Sea bream sashimi" Awaji sea bream is beautifully arranged. The strong umami of the sea bream itself is also worth noting. "Bamboo shoot soup" Kyoto's pride Tsukahara bamboo shoots are not bitter at all. The sweet dashi broth with kelp and the sweetness of the bamboo shoots are the best. The kinome leaf buds are also a nice accent. "Tuna sashimi" From Shiogama. As with the sea bream, the approach of respecting the ingredients is quite appealing. "Spring vegetable hassun" The highly sugary Frutica tomatoes, the sweetness of the Japanese lantern lantern, and the lily root that has been aged for a year are particularly impressive. "Karasumi mochi" The fragrant and salty taste accentuates the taste. The balance of the mochi and karasumi is exquisite. "Clams and hogweed stew" served with the rare mushroom juveniles. "Grilled Nodoguro" - fatty Nodoguro balanced with yuzu peel and green radish. "Sobagaki with white miso" - smooth soba-gaki combined with white miso typical of Kyoto. So refined! "Firefly squid and wild vegetable rice" - the scent of spring. "Sweets" - Sakuramochi. Lately, flashiness has been getting all the attention, but I love quietly delicious restaurants like this. It was a wonderful Japanese Cuisine restaurant that makes you want to just pop back in. They only take reservations for two groups per day, which is quite a hurdle though. lol
