ここがベーカリーだと知らなければ、「小洒落たお店があるな､何屋さんかな？」と通りすごしてしまいそうになる｡
小さな看板が置かれているのが目印｡
四条大宮からバスを使うか､北大路駅から徒歩で30分程度｡
京都の中心部からは少し離れているが､パン好きがあしげく通う知る人ぞ知る人気店。
特にハード系のパン好きにはたまらない｡
焼き色や姿が美しいハード系のパンにモチッとした食感が特徴の湯ごね食パンなど、約40種が並ぶ(土日は約50種類)。
クロアには､いわゆる普通のサンドイッチはない｡
代わりに､フォカッチャ生地の楕円形のパンを使ったサンドイッチやハードトーストタイプの山形食パンに自家製ホワイトソース、上質なハム、グリュィエールチーズをはさみ、さらに表面にソースを塗ってチーズをかけ、焼き上げたクロックムッシュがある。
1種類のチーズだけでは塩味が強くなりすぎるのでまろやかなチーズを合わせるのだとか｡
この2種類のチーズを使い分けるあたりあまりににくすぎる｡
