○お店について
1966年創業、鞍馬口にある小さな純喫茶。名俳優・高倉健が愛した場所としても知られます。全席喫煙可能で分煙はされていないので、注意が必要です。
○お店の様子
鞍馬口駅から徒歩5分。烏丸紫明の交差点からやや東に位置しています。
到着したのは平日の13時10分。先客は1-2人の2組でいずれも中高年でした。
店内は全体的に茶色の木材で囲われており、カウンター4席とテーブル席が並んでいます。床は白黒の市松タイルで、店内のあちこちに造花や額入りの絵画が飾られていました。
入り口は2ヶ所で、交差点側と裏口があります。
○メニュー
コーヒーや紅茶などのドリンクのほか、トーストやサンドイッチ、コーヒーなど軽食が揃っており、オーソドックスな喫茶店といった印象。11:30-13:30まではお得なランチメニューも用意されています。
○ウインナーティー(550円)
かねてより気になっていたので、こちらを注文。
ミルクティーの上に、薔薇のような形の生クリームが乗っています。
茶葉の軽やかな香りが特徴的。白い陶器の器も光沢があり、ツルッと滑らかな触り心地です。思わずおかわりが欲しくなってしまう美味しさでした。
店内を流れるレトロでゆったりした空気に、つい長居しそうになります。次回はフードメニューも頂いてみたいところです。
