Perhaps because it was a weekday right after the summer holidays began, the restaurant was fairly crowded with customers. Families were relaxing in the tatami room, while people eating in between work were silently sitting at the counter. From our counter seats we could get a good view of the cooking so we watched for a while; the food was being prepared skillfully, one after the other, despite being directly exposed to the heat of the fire. Unfortunately, the woman at the register seemed inexperienced and sluggish, and there were about five people lined up in front of the register, hiding their irritation. It was fast, cheap and delicious, Osho. Thank you for the meal.
