I pass the restaurant almost every day and have been curious about it, but just the fact that it's a Matsusaka beef restaurant is a bit of a challenge... The higher the challenge, the more excited I get! Not that I'm saying it's all that, but I thought I'd give it a try if it was takeaway, so I popped in! From the several bento Bento (boxed lunch) available, I chose the "Matsusaka Beef Yakiniku (Grilled meat) Bento (boxed lunch)" for 1,000 yen! This is the cheapest one (^^; When I opened the lid... There was Yakiniku (Grilled meat) on top of rice, garnished with a half-boiled egg and pickled eggshells. Yakiniku (Grilled meat) is meat, onions, green peppers and carrots. The meat is thin so it doesn't really taste like Matsusaka beef, but it is soft♪ I think the sauce is miso? The sauce is delicious, so the rice soaked in sauce was also really good (^^ It may be the worst way to put it, but the egg is runny and mixed with the rice and meat with sauce, making it even runnier still (^^;
