仕事で三重県に行くことが多いのですが、先日、お昼に鈴鹿市の白子漁港の近くにある「めんくいくん」に行きました。
ここは海産物の問屋さんが経営しているお店です。
旅館だった建物を改装したらしく、和風で立派な店構えが印象的です。
人気メニューは、牛すじを使ったカレーうどんである「めんくいうどん」なのですが、この日私がいただいたのは、「磯揚げおろしうどん（熱）」700円＋「ミニいか刺とごはん」300円です。
うどんもそばも毎朝手打ちしているとのことですが、うどんは少し細めで稲庭風に見えながら、しっかりとしたコシがあります。
そして、さすが海産物問屋さんだけあって、何よりもおいしいのは「だし」です。
かつおをはじめとした4種類の「節」に、昆布・椎茸といった素材の持ち味をうまく引き出した、薄味ながらコクのある「だし」が特色です。
12時になると、近所の方々と思われるお客さんでいっぱいになりました。
また近くに行くことがあったら立ち寄ってみたいと思います。
