三重県は桑名市の星見ヶ丘エリアにある人気のフレンチレストラン。
電車で辿り着くのは絶望的なので、バスか車で向かうのが吉。
幼い頃から何かしらのターニングポイントで何度か伺っているのですが、今回は4年半ぶりです。
多分税込5,280円のランチフルコースで、前菜からスープ、魚、肉、デザートと一通り。
それなりにキチンとした雰囲気のフレンチとしては、都市部ならまあ昨今見かけない価格設定。
なんとなく以前からクラシック且つたっぷりボリューミーなフレンチという印象でしたが、
良い意味でそこは変わっておらず安心しました。
前菜盛り合わせはちょっと見えづらいですが野菜の四方にパテカン、ローストハム、サーモン、稚鮎のエスカベッシュが鎮座しています。
この一皿でも割と普通に食事です。
肉々しくて胡椒でピリッと締めたパテカン、好きなタイプ。
新玉葱のポタージュも侮れない。
それぞれのバランスがとても丁度良い。
魚のメインはイサキ。
もうすこーしだけ手前の火入れでも個人的には良いのですが、それでもほぼ最旬を迎えたイサキは旨味が強くて美味しいね。
肉のメインは3種類から。
今回は意外と誰も選ばなかったですが和牛ハンバーグもありました。
私は奥三河鶏のガランティーヌを。
これも拳骨サイズのポーションでにっこり。
ガランティーヌとここまでしっかり向き合う機会はなかなか無いかもしれません。
脂たっぷり、ソースこってりの野郎系コンボでかなりテンションの上がる一皿。
デザートはダークチェリーのタルト。
甘過ぎず大人過ぎず、程良い塩梅で〆にはピッタリ。
料理のベクトルは同一ながら、時代に沿って味わいがキチンとUpgradeされている気がします。
わざわざ遠方から当店の為だけに伺うレストランでは無いかもしれないけど、ここに一軒当店がある事で実は周囲のバランスが保たれているような。
そんな感じのレストラン。
