◆Information at the time of visit Tabelog 4.16 Silver 2020-2018 Bronze 2024-2021 2017 3rd in Mie Prefecture 1st in clam dishes nationwide ◆Food price relative to food satisfaction A little pricey ◆Willingness to return Definitely try a different season, even during the popular period ◆About the restaurant This restaurant is said to be the best clam restaurant in Japan, and serves natural Kuwana clams. Apparently only 15kg of clams come into the wholesaler per day, and they don't take any clams smaller than 4cm. *Depending on the environment, this may decrease even further. Lunch: 15% Sauce Dinner: 20% Sauce Dinner: You can't order hot pot with 2 people at lunch, but you can order hot pot with 2 people at dinner. Lunch is only on Sundays, and single people are generally not allowed. The best season is from April to August 15th. Reservations for the best season start on the website every year from November 1st, and are not first come, first served, but are based on a lottery system. Once a reservation is made, it cannot be canceled. ◆Impressions I made a reservation by myself, and invited my friends from Tokyo, Shizuoka and Nagoya to plan a Hinode Encounter. I lost the reservation by lottery, but I called later and was able to get one. The atmosphere in the restaurant has a traditional feel, but it is well-equipped, and the customer service is very polite and the staff is always there to help you prepare the food. The food was of high quality from start to finish, but I especially liked the cherry Prosciutto, firefly squid, clams, kudzu and mitsuba clam Tempura. I liked the grilled and tempura Tempura the best, and the kudzu clams were surprisingly delicious. I heard that it was the best season for clams, but the size was small, so I would like to return when they are bigger. Also, there are times when the clam dishes are similar, so I thought that if there was a variety, I wouldn't get bored of eating them. It was a bit expensive, but for that price, I would definitely like to return. It was a day where I was able to face clams to the fullest! ◆Meal price (tax included) The most basic course is 13,860 yen including 20% service charge ◆What I had (food only) ●Appetizer ✔︎✔︎Clams with flying fish roe ✔︎✔︎Cherry Prosciutto with prosciutto ✔︎✔︎Tuna and Japanese tea yuba ✔︎✔︎Fava beans ✔︎✔︎Dashimaki egg ✔︎✔︎✔︎Firefly squid ✔︎✔︎Sake kasu cheese ✔︎✔︎✔︎Clam hotpot ✔︎✔︎Clams ✔︎✔︎✔︎Kudzu noodles ✔︎✔︎Tofu ✔︎✔︎Green onion ✔︎✔︎✔︎Mitsuba ✔︎✔︎✔︎Grilled Tempura ✔︎✔︎✔︎Clam tempura ✔︎✔︎Mixed dishes ✔︎✔︎✔︎Hojicha Ice cream ◆Notes ◆Notes ※Michelin, 100 famous restaurants, Gault & Millau, include information from the past and the latest. ※Prices include tax. ⭐️Number criteria Based on food experiences all over the country, we also take into consideration the local characteristics.
