桑名駅から歩いて３分ほどの場所にあるやきとり屋さん、平日の夜に利用してみました。店内はカウンター２０席程度とテーブル３卓ほどの席数、１７時ころに入りましたがほかにお客さんは１組とまだ早い時間ということもあり落ち着いていました。
メニューはやきとりをはじめとする串焼きを中心に名物という手羽中焼や鶏の刺身、ニラレバや山芋アスパラバターといった炒めものなどの一品料理、冷奴や漬物などの簡単なおつまみに親子丼やまかない丼、焼きおにぎり、焼きそば、チキンラーメンなどのシメのごはんもの、デザートには地元桑名、マルマンのアイスまんじゅうなどがありました。
その中からやきとりを中心に串焼きを何本か注文、まずはつくねが登場、結構しっかりした食感でふわふわとかではないですがお肉の味もしっかりでコレはコレでキラいじゃないです。
次にレバーやきんかん、白くし、豚バラなど、レバーは少しパサつき気味だったし、きんかんもとろっとした感じがまったくないなど一部の串は火が入り過ぎかなって印象もありましたが、一方で白くしはレアでお願いしたこともあり見事な火入れ加減ですごく美味しかったです。
今回は名物という手羽中焼を頼むのを忘れてしまったので次の機会があればいただいてみたいと思います、ごちそうさまでした。
