We are recruiting part-time staff! Please contact us by phone or DM. Reservations are required for lunch and reservations are given priority for dinner. Since we are Steak, we ask that each person order one piece of meat. Please note that we cannot reserve seats for à la carte only. For reservations for 8 or more people, please contact us by phone. Can be reserved for groups of 12 people or more! We are closed on Mondays, but if it falls on a public holiday, we will be open and will be closed on the following Tuesday. |
桑名市は宮通り、日本一やかましい石取り祭りで有名な
春日神社にほど近い「SAI.teppan」さん・・・
女性スタッフのみで運営する鉄板ステーキのお店。
お店は住宅が立ち並ぶ町屋の通りの一角・・・
ダークな茶色の塗った木製の外壁に鮮やかに黄色のエントランスが印象的。
階段を上がって二階の店内は、鉄板を囲むカウンター席が8席に
その背後には輸入材で作ったチープな4人テーブルが2卓。
土曜日の夜、時間は8時、
噂通り女性スタッフばかりの店内に先客は二組5名・・・
そして、同じ8時の予約で同時に入ったカップルが1組。
何となく元気のないタルい雰囲気が気になる。
メニューは、
サーロイン・ヒレ・シャトーブリアンの三種のコースに
鶏もも肉、海老、ホタテ、それに要予約の焼きハマグリなどの単品。
各ステーキのコースはお肉の量が80ｇと少ないが、20ｇにつき
サーロインで500円、ヒレで700円の追加料金で増量することが出来る。
私たちの注文は
＊ 特選和牛サーロイン（180ｇ） 3,980円＋肉増量2,500円×２
＊ 特選和牛ヒレ（180ｇ） 4,980円＋肉増量3,500円×２
各部位ともにお肉の質は悪くないが、
こってり振りかけられた塩と胡椒で台無し・・・だろうか。
レアでお願いした焼き具合は均一でなく、
完全に焼ききってしまった部分もあり・・・

ブラックタイガー・貝柱、共にパサついたもの。
＊黒毛和牛特選炙り寿司（2貫） 980円×２
寿司飯はともかく、炙り牛肉の肉質は絶品・・・これは旨い！

＊ ウーロン茶 380円
＊ 日本茶（八女茶） 500円
総じてお肉に関しては、かなり良いものを出している印象。
しかし、手元の覚束ない焼き手の技量不足が勿体ないし
提供の順序や方法、その不思議なタイミングなど、
50過ぎのオヤジの私には理解に苦しむところも多い。
接客サービス、調理・・・
いろんな意味で違和感を感じてしまうお店だった。
