志摩市で所用があり少し早く着いたのでここで朝食を取ることにした。外観は古風な民家風のお店だ。なかに入るととても落ち着いた雰囲気で地元の人たちがくつろいでいる。入口付近の真ん中が喫煙用、そして奥の狭い区域が禁煙用となっていた。名古屋ではまずあり得ない配置だ。喫煙者優遇である。美味しいコーヒーの香りを台無しにする煙草を優先させるとはね。
モーニングサービスはトーストとゆで玉子だった。バターかジャムを選択できるようだが私はバターを選択。味はコメダ並みかな。
同行者は別料金ではあるがハムチーズトーストを選択。まあこれもそれなりの味だった。
いくら分煙といっても密閉しない限り煙草の煙は禁煙席にも流れてくる。屋内で煙草が吸えるのは先進国では日本ぐらいだろう。我々煙草を吸わない人間が安心してコーヒーを楽しめる環境になるよう望む次第である。
