仙台滞在も後半戦突入。余りまくっている旅行支援クーポンの消化に危機感を感じ仙台駅周辺を右往左往し、一人客に冷たい反応をした店を2軒ほど経てこの店に到着。駅ナカのちょっとお洒落な焼鳥屋という感じ。鶏肉が売りで、親子丼も看板メニューのようです。ということで親子丼＋焼き鳥＋野菜メニューで写真の通り注文。鶏肉にこだわりがあるのはわかっているけど、それにしても親子丼と焼き鳥ともにちょっとお値段高め。もしかして親子丼は締め扱いで時間差で来てしまうかもと心配していると真っ先に配膳。しかし焼き鳥が来ない。昼夜の狭間の時間だったので焼き方が休憩中だったのか？それとも慌てて具材を解凍しているのか？10分以上間が空いて盛り合わせ二品が到着。急いで撮影して実食開始。漬物は可もなく不可もなく。確かに焼き鳥は美味しいけど、お店の雰囲気代込みの値段に思えてしまいます。そして親子丼。まずは味噌汁がしょぼすぎ。メニュー名で「究極」と冠するなら一緒に付いてくる汁物にも拘ってほしい。それこそ拘りの鶏の鶏ガラから出汁を取った鶏スープでいいのではないでしょうか？そして肝心の親子丼。「究極」と謳って自らハードルを上げているような自爆を感じる「普通に」美味しい親子丼。私を含め一般客の中に一定レベルをクリアした親子丼の美味しさをランク付けできる客などほぼいないでしょう。それを知った上でのネーミングかもしれませんが。
とりあえず旅行支援クーポンの消化が進んだので出費の痛みは浅いですが、それにしても割高感を感じずにはいられませんでした。
