This coffee shop was recommended by a local. It's in a residential area called Tomizawa, south of Sendai Station on the subway. The inside of the shop is filled with European ornaments collected by the previous owner. There are beautiful paintings on the walls, and the classic lamp on the counter is probably Emile Gallé. They seem to specialize in medium and dark roasts due to their roasting machine. The cups are European masterpieces. I chose the Ethiopian Wote Konga, which is a medium roast. It wasn't my taste, but the coffee itself was good. This is the main store. I heard they have several restaurant, including one near Sendai Station. The coffee and interiors seem to vary depending on restaurant. I might try their other stores.
