I wonder how many years ago it was when an acquaintance told me, "In the old days, Yakiniku (Grilled meat) here was the best place to eat." Since then, whenever I pass by this place, I remember that story, but I never went in. But for some reason, I went in on this day. Recently, when I go into a place like this that I've seen before but never been in, I often think that the place will disappear before I know it. I guess I'm getting old. It was lunchtime, but there were three other customers ahead of me. It was nice to see two older men who were doing manual labor, and the senior craftsman casually treats his junior and leaves the store, while I, who was a first-time visitor, stare at the menu. "Yamato, a restaurant of Yakiniku (Grilled meat) Pork Cutlet and yakiniku" It seems that they don't serve Yakiniku (Grilled meat) anymore, and it seems to be all about Pork Cutlet, so I ordered the bamboo Pork Cutlet set meal for 1,100 yen from memory. (I can't remember if it was the 1,400 yen one at Matsu.) When I told them my order, they brought me water, but it was too much to drink after just one sip. Was it dirty dishes? Smelly water? Are the water pipes broken? Anyway, I never took a sip again. Still, the inside of the restaurant smelled delicious Fried food, so I arrived hungry. The pork cutlet was quite thick, and the meat was juicy and delicious. It's no wonder that those who know it often come here. A good old restaurant. I think the people who cook in the kitchen are probably quite elderly. I hope it continues for a long time.
