最近、友人がカフェ巡りにはまってるらしく、よくカフェ情報をくれるのですが、こちらのお店については、いつもよりテンション高めに教えてくれたので(笑)、相当良かったんだろうなと思ってました。
こちらのカフェ、古川の街中にあります。
創業は昭和55年だそう。オイルショックの時代か…。
平成25年にリニューアルして現在の佇まいに。
水色の壁と赤い扉が印象的。日本っぽくない海外チックな色使い。
そして、店内もオシャレ。
白塗りのブロック塀、鮮やかでカラフルな壁など、一見、統一感がなさそうなのにオシャレです。
遊びがあって面白いですね。
店内にはビートルズが流れます。
これも、面白いですよね。
イメージとしては、カフェってなんとなく、JAZZとかボサノヴァが流れているイメージですけれど、「少し古いロックンロール」というのがいいのかもしれません。ビートルズ、お店の雰囲気にバッチリあっています。
今回は、がっつり昼食をとった後だったので、「ラテ・マキアート」を注文。
ハートが渦を巻いた、可愛らしいラテの見た目を崩すのが「もったいない」とためらいつつも、昔話に花を咲かせるのでした。
