こちらの食堂は、宮城県気仙沼市の南部、旧本吉町の国道45号線沿いのドライブインです。
「食べログ」で評判が良かったので行ってきました。
到着した12:20頃、お店の前の広い駐車場は、ほぼ満車でした。
店内は、ほぼ満席で、お客さんのほとんどは地元の常連の方たちの様でした。
混雑のピークで、配膳と注文を受け付けていたスタッフのお母さんたちはてんてこ舞いしていました。
「食べログ」で味噌ラーメンがお薦めされていたので、「ねぎみそ全部トッピング」（¥1,150、大盛¥100）を食べました。
味噌ラーメンとしては、異色な程あっさりしていて、意表を突かれました。
薄味でしたが、トッピングから染み出た油と旨味があり、物足りなさは感じませんでした。
キャベツなどの炒め野菜がのり、他にロース肉のチャーシュー、ラー油で和えた白髪ネギ、コーンがのっていました。
チャーシューはしっかり塩気がありましたが、メンマはスープ同様に薄い味付けでした。
こちらは、この日が初めてのお店のつもりでしたが、実は、そうではありませんでした。
ひょんなことから、最近になって、震災前にもこちらで食べていることに気が付きました。
ラーメンの味を覚えていないどころか、行ったことさえ忘れていたのには、我ながら呆れました。
その時食べたラーメンもあっさりしていたのだろうと思います。
味は良いのですが、あっさりしていてインパクトはありません。
それでも、もうこちらに行ったことを忘れません。
2回行きましたし、こうやって記録に残しているというのもありますが、お店で強烈な印象に残ることがありました。
ぼんやりと店内を見まわしていたら、2011年3月の津波の到達ラインが表示されていました。
少し離れた大谷海岸が見える高台にあるので、まさか被災しているとは思いませんでした。
会計の際にその時のことを尋ねました。
店内にガレキが多数漂着して大変だったそうですが、半年後の9月には営業を再開したそうです。
お店を出て、改めて店舗を見ると、入口のところにも津波の到達ラインが表示されていました。
こちらのお店のことはもう忘れません。
