三陸道を河北インターで下りて
雄勝や大川小学校へ向かう途中、
左手に見えてくる道の駅「上品の郷」。
温泉やレストランなどが入る大きな道の駅です。
この日は5月にも関わらずかなりの暑さ。
休憩とお土産の山菜購入を兼ねて立ち寄りました。
割引サービスをしていたキウイジュースは
すりつぶした果肉がごろごろとして
太いストローが時折詰まるほど。
もちろん濃い味なので
眠気も疲れも吹き飛びます。
石巻は海の街のイメージが印象が強いですけど
この道の駅ではわらび・ぜんまいなどの山菜や
野菜などが安く手に入ります。
雄勝の直売所で仕入れた海の幸と
ここの山の幸を肴に
お酒を飲むのは楽しかったなぁ。
