牡鹿半島一周のサイクリング。
時計回りにまわっていると、坂を下ったところにこちらの観光施設が登場。
ここ鮎川という港は、東北の鯨漁(猟？)の古き拠点なのだそうだ。
刺身定食¥2,000を注文
鯨のみと、他の海鮮とミックスもあるというが、鯨だけでお願いした。
ウネ、さえずり、赤身と皮が盛られているが、さえずりは一切れ、ウネは二切れと、さみしい。
これならば他の海鮮とのミックスが良かったかもしれない。
通常盛りなのにたっぷりの白米はありがたいが、おかずの味が弱いため、ライス消費のバランスが難しい。
トータルで鯨が食べられるという特徴だけで、サービスや調理が素晴らしいというわけではない。
産地でのお得感も無い。
鯨は石巻の駅近辺でも食べられるものなので、わざわざここ鮎川まで出向いて食べる必要があるとも思えず、まあ旅行の記念としての意味くらいだろう。
熱い緑茶も出してくれた上、カウンターで麦茶注ぎ放題なのは、サイクリストには助かった。
