連休中に南九州に旅行に行ったので、本場宮崎で人気のチキン南蛮を食べたかったのですが、
時間が無く、宮崎駅近くで人気の郷土料理店に行ってみました。
個室や机が並ぶ店内は結構広そうでしたが、昼から結構混んでいるようで、どうにか入れました。
メニューは、単品やセットメニューが幾つかあり、
【ちきん南蛮セット】９００円【昼辛めん】８８０円+飲み物
を頼み、５分程で届きました。
チキン南蛮は、生野菜が乗り、タルタルは別皿、漬物とみそ汁が付いています。
衣はサクサクで、胸肉がしっとりジューシーに仕上がっていて、美味しいです。
タルタルは程よい酸味と玉子感、甘味と食感が出たタイプで、甘酢が掛かったチキンとよく合いました。
他の県のチキン南蛮と比べても大きい違いは分かりませんでしたが、鶏の質と食感、揚げが良いことは感じました。
一方、辛めんも、宮崎名物ですが、こんにゃく麺を使用した卵とじ激辛麺です。
こちらのお店では、鶏の炭火焼もゴロゴロ入っていたのですが、その鶏の旨味と焦げた風味が、鶏ガラ醤油スープに溶け込み、風味が豊かになり、辛い以上の旨味が出てきて、非常に美味しい麺でした。
鶏の炭火焼を入れるのは同店のオリジナルだそうですが、他の店の辛麺も食べてみたくなりました。
総じて、駅近と侮るなかれ、宮崎名物を十二分に美味しく堪能できるお店でした。
また宮崎に来ることがあれば、アラカルトとお酒を楽しみに来たいです。
