東九州自動車道が延岡や蒲江まで完成してから、やっと行くことができました。ホント近くなりましたね！
食べログで事前にチェックしておいた「牡蠣家」へ。熊本や鹿児島にも牡蠣小屋はありますが、どこにも行ったことが無かったので念願の牡蠣小屋デビューです。
夏休みの土曜日だし混んでるかな、と思ったけど、１３時半頃の入店の割には空いてて、ゆっくり楽しめてラッキーでした。
小学６年の息子と家内と３人で、牡蠣家セット２つにまぐろの漬け丼、サバ飯に魚の味噌汁、追加で牡蠣１ｋｇを堪能。牡蠣を開くなどやったことないので心配してましたが、店員さんが目の前で焼いてくれて助かりました！大きな岩ガキは、プリップリでクリーミーですっごく美味！延岡や蒲江特産という「ひおう貝」も絶品で、レモンやバター、チーズなどのトッピングも楽しめて親子で大満足でした。サバ飯、ごぼうの味わいがよくておススメです！何より、運転だったのでビールが飲めなくて残念でした！今度は飲めない人をドライバーで連れていきたいと思います。
