今日は長野で仕事。
その夜に訪問させていただきました。
私たちは小上がりに通されましたが、堀ごたつ式で足元は床暖房と冬には嬉しい感じ。
店内はこじんまりしていますが、落ち着く感じですね。
さて、何を頼みましょ？
と、串揚げのお店でそれは愚問でしょうか…
生はスーパードライ、ハートランド、エビスの品揃えがありましたが、スーパードライを。
つまみは串揚げ盛り合わせ。橘のコースで提供されたと思われます。
お通しは海藻とさつま揚げの煮物。
これ自体はよくあるお通しですね。
串揚げ盛り合わせは、海老、豚カツ、アスパラ、つくね、れんこん、キス、かに脚、ほたて。
それぞれに合うおすすめの調味料も説明があります。
海老は中心部分がギリギリのレア状態。
プリプリとまではいきませんが、海老の風味はソースで食べてもしっかり感じられます。
その美味しさは、塩で食べるとさらに際立ちます。
豚カツは薄めのヒレ肉。
柔らかく仕上がっていて、粗びきの胡椒がアクセントとなっています。
塩がおすすめとのこと。
特に美味しいと感じたのは国産アスパラでしょうか。
かなりの大振りですが、中心までギリギリのところで火が通っています。
硬さを感じることなく、ホクホク・シャキシャキの状態で食べることが出来ました。
塩で食べると、素材の美味しさが引き立っていました。
つくねは山椒醤油をおすすめされます。
つくねの串揚げは初めてでしたが…。
美味しいんですが、個人的には串焼きの方が好きですね。
れんこんもかなり大きいサイズ。
シャキシャキとした食感が美味しいですね。
キスの大葉巻きは…食べたはずですがほとんど記憶にありません(汗)
かに脚はほぼレアなのでトロッとした食感と甘みが味わえます。
ラスト、ほたても大粒。それまでに提供された海鮮ネタ同様、中はほぼレアで甘みが際立っています。
追加で安納芋、どんこをオーダーしましたが、これも一串が大きく、素材の良さが分かるものでした。
総じてネタは大きく、追加のオーダーはなくても十分お腹は満たされます。
また、串揚げというとひと串が小さめで、揚げたてをソースにどっぷり付けて食べるというイメージですが、このお店の場合は、素材の美味しさを味わうために塩で食べるべきかと思います。
ガッとほおばってビールで流し込むというよりは、塩で素材の味を楽しみつつワイングラスを傾ける、という方が合っていそう？に思えました。
一串の値段は決して安価ではないんですが、ボリュームと素材の良さで十分カバー出来ています。
むしろCPは良い方でしょう。
ただ…串揚げは良かったものの、一品料理は種類も少なく、CPも良くないです。
純粋に串揚げを楽しむという使い方ならおすすめできるお店ですね。
また、広くない店内とはいえ呼鈴がないので追加注文のときなどがちょっと億劫になります。
せめて小上がりには置いてもらえると便利なんですけどね。
