Specialty! A long-established soba restaurant popular for its sauce katsudon and stone-ground soba.
This storehouse-style restaurant is located in the center of Nakamise-dori, Zenkoji Temple. Not only are their handmade soba noodles popular, but their special sauce Katsu-don (Pork cutlet bowl) is al
...so popular, and they are supported by tourists who come to visit Zenkoji Temple as well as locals. Their signature dish, the fillet katsudon, tastes just as it did when they first opened. It is a traditional style dish, with fillet soaked in homemade sauce and topped with a half-boiled fried egg. We recommend the hearty Tenzaru Soba (with fresh wasabi) for 1,800 yen, and the Fillet Marusei Bento (boxed lunch) (1,350 yen), which lets you enjoy both their specialty sauce Katsu-don (Pork cutlet bowl) and soba noodles.
