秋になって紅葉を見に志賀高原まで行って来ました。山頂の横手山ドライブインで休息した時に寄りました。山小屋風の建物で、うどんやそば等の軽食にソフトクリームやコーヒーなどのカフェメニューもありました。
高原のソフトクリーム300円を注文します。ソフトクリームはプラカップに入っているものを冷凍庫から出してきて、それを機械に入れて出すタイプです。観光地にありがちなものと思っていたら、意外にも乳脂肪分が高くてなめらかで濃厚な味でした。ソフトクリームを食べながら外の笠ヶ岳を眺めます。山の木々は色付き、風はもう冷たくなっていました。志賀高原はあと一月で雪の季節です。また来年の初夏に行きましょう。
