First visit on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, around 18:20. It was a weekday, so I was prepared for it to be empty, but for better or worse, it was fully booked. I feel like it would be difficult to get in given the concept of the restaurant and the amount of information. There are seven tables inside the restaurant. There are also a few counter seats. I wonder if there was a room in the back as well? ──────────────────── What I ordered that day ↓ ・HAKKO appetizer platter (from 1,000 yen) ・Grilled Shinshu rice pork marinated in sake lees (1,180 yen) ・Pizza with green onion and ginger miso (600 yen) Other alcoholic drinks include craft beer *This restaurant does not serve appetizers. ──────────────────── ⚪Appetizer platter Among the various appetizer menu items, there was an appetizer platter, so I chose that one. On this day, there were four types of dishes: ⚪HAKKO's Miso Potato Salad ⚪Sauteed Yamanouchi Mushrooms in Garlic Tamari Soy Sauce ⚪Bean Sprouts and Spinach Soy Sauce Koji Namul ⚪Salami (spicy type) The potato salad made with miso has a deep flavor and is delicious. The aroma of miso stimulates the appetite, and the ingredients are large, so it is very filling. I was very lucky because I wanted to try the refreshing namul and the sauteed mushrooms in rich soy sauce. If I had to say, it would have been nice to be able to choose the menu (^^; ⚪ Grilled Rice Pork It's marinated in sake lees, which enhances the flavor of the meat. It's also juicy and tender! The pork is tasty (^^)d It has a slightly strong flavor, so it goes well with the equally strong craft beer ☆ ⚪ Pizza with Spring Onion and Ginger Miso This was a menu item written in the recommendations section. The crust is a crispy type of pizza. The toppings are just spring onion, miso, and cheese, so I didn't really like it. [Impressions] The interior is stylish and GOOD. However, it doesn't feel like a renovated old house. As the main ingredients are fermented foods, the dishes are characterized by their strong flavor. I'm sure many people won't like it. For drinks, they recommend craft beer, but 800 yen for a half bottle is quite expensive for Izakaya (Japanese-style bar). I wonder if they are planning to use it as a beer bar? Perhaps because they have renovated too much, the "old house feel" has faded, and it was a shop where I couldn't quite grasp the concept. Thank you for the meal~m(__)m
