I received a ticket from a friend that allowed me to stay at the Karuizawa Sengen Prince Hotel at member prices, so I decided to go to Karuizawa during my summer vacation. In order to have dinner near Karuizawa Station instead of at the hotel, I took the free shuttle bus and got off at Karuizawa Station. 2 hours until the bus home. Last time I stayed at Karuizawa Sengen Prince, there was no shuttle bus to get back to the hotel, so I had no choice but to take a taxi, but the taxi meter went up too fast (and it was expensive), so this time... I decided to be sure to return to the hotel in time to catch the shuttle bus. There aren't many restaurants around Karuizawa Station, probably because it's a weekday, so I decided to eat Yakiniku (Grilled meat) at this restaurant while I was wandering around. When I entered the store, there were only two customers who appeared to be foreign tourists. We were guided to a tatami room for four people near the entrance. I ordered a bottle of beer and looked at the menu while drinking the beer. Perhaps it's aimed at tourists, but the menu is written in English, so it might be a bit pricey. For now, I ordered loin, offal, vegetable soup, and kakuteki. The loin wasn't as thick as I expected, and although the sauce was delicious, the meat didn't feel very juicy. It was a bit disappointing that the offal wasn't meaty, but it had no odor at all and was delicious. I was drinking beer with this as a snack. It might get expensive if you order too much, so I finished my order and left the restaurant. Thank you for the meal. After that, I still had some time before the shuttle bus, so I drank a highball at an outlet eat-in in Karuizawa and waited for the shuttle bus.
