We visited Italian Cuisine restaurant "Al Soliso" in Sakudaira, Saku City. The father, the chef, runs the kitchen of this relatively large restaurant by himself. The wife is also in charge of service? She handles it by herself. Although the number of tables has been reduced due to the effects of COVID-19, on the day, 4 groups of 8 people will start almost at the same time at 6 p.m., so it's going to be a lot of work. We prepare appetizers here, bake pizza in a pizza oven there, and prepare Ajillo for the a la carte customers... We had reserved the "Shinshu Fukumi Chicken Thigh Meat Wood-Fired Course (4,070 yen per person, tax included)" in advance. I toasted with a non-alcoholic beer (440 yen, tax included...cheap). The first thing that comes with the course is an amuse bouche...○ "Sakura Shrimp Bruschetta"...Sakura shrimp and cheese on a baguette. The Sakura shrimp is very fragrant. Seasonal appetizer platter...The platter contains the following △① Roast beef...very salty. △② Salami... The pepper is also effective and stimulating. This is also a little salty, so you may need to be careful if you have high blood pressure. △③ Pickles... The sourness is still strong. The overall taste is quite strong. ○④ Frittata... This has a fairly light taste. It is an egg dish similar to French cuisine quiche, with potatoes and carrots inside, and seasoned with salt and pepper. ○⑤ Salmon and scallops... I think it has a little smoke. The seasoning is light, but the texture is mellow. ○⑥ Pasta salad, ribbon-shaped pasta = farfalle with chopped tomatoes added and seasoned with mayonnaise. The pasta is firm al dente, and is effective as an accent to cleanse the palate among the whole appetizer. Next is "Recommended pasta of the day"... This day is △ "Firefly squid tomato sauce pasta"... Firefly squid, onion, spinach, capers, and the taste is changed by adding olive oil with chili peppers. ... The taste of the firefly squid is almost completely erased by the tomato sauce, so it felt like a waste. Also, the amount of capers is so high that the seasoning is strong and rich. Is this a characteristic of the chef's father's seasoning? I feel that the firefly squid would have been more alive if it had been made into an olive oil-based peperoncino style or a squid ink pasta style with the firefly squid grilled like Steak. The volume was sufficient. The main course was △ "Shinshu Fukumi chicken thigh meat grilled in a wood-fired oven"...with grain mustard and lemon. The base flavor was salty. The taste was okay. Since it was grilled in a wood-fired oven, I would have been happy if the chicken skin was a little crisper. The dessert was "black tea pound cake, matcha ice cream"...I realized when I started eating this dessert that the course did not come with drinks such as coffee. The pound cake is a dough with little moisture, so it is difficult to eat without a drink, so I would have liked it if they had included a drink in the set, even if it meant increasing the price. I was going to order one anyway. So I ordered an additional coffee. ...I've added a lot of requests to the restaurant in this review, but it's hard for one woman to run the kitchen, take menus, serve food, clean up, and serve around the Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) register in a large restaurant. So I'll let it all slide. It's not a formal restaurant, not an izakaya osteria, not a waigaya trattoria, it's a quiet, heartwarming, homely Italian Cuisine made by a father. The young couples and elderly couples who came today were each immersed in their own world. It's casual, but I think it's a good place to use for a special occasion. You can pay by card for purchases over 10,000 yen. But everyone's budget was not even that much. It's easy on the wallet for a night out. I didn't look at the menu because I ordered a course meal. However, looking at the order of the person next to me, it seems that there is a wide variety on the menu, so if I were to use it again, I think I would choose my favorite dishes a la carte and order them, even though it would be a lot of work for the father. Thank you for the meal.
