一見するとただのオンボロ民家で、こんなところで飲食店が営まれているとは思えません。
それでも営業中の看板がかかっていたので、恐る恐るなかに入ってみると、意外にも小綺麗な造りです。玄関をはいって最初の部屋が待合室、その奥にカウンターだけの食堂、カウンターの向こうにオープンキッチンがあります。文化住宅をそのまま改装したのでしょう。
この日たまたまだったのでしょうか、有名店にも関わらず、先客は一組二人だけ。すぐにカウンターに案内されましたが、店主は前の客に対してなにやら熱心に講釈をされていて、「これはとんでもないところに来たぞ」と身構えたほどでした。（でも、実際にはそんなことはありませんでしたが・・・・）
お店の名前が「スープ研究処 ぶいよん」とあるように、スープにこだわりを持たれていることがビンビンと伝わってきます。トロンとしたスープ、麺は喉越しがよい独特なものでした。
