小諸はタイ料理が多い気がする。タイは行ったこともあり、ナンプラーやパクチーは気にならなくおいしく食べられる。今回は、小諸駅近くの交差点の角で比較的きれいなココナッツへと向かった。事前リサーチでは予約をとのことだったが、ガラガラ状態。気楽に飲めていいってなもんである。シンハーは売り切れだというので、今回はLEOビールとした。
揚げ春巻き（ポピアトート）は、中身がしっかりとしてタケノコの歯触りもよくうまい。ナンプラーはあまり感じない。スイートチリソースなので一気にタイ感が増す。青パパイヤのサラダ（ソムタムタイ）は、ソースを大辛にしてもらった。本当に辛いよと脅かされたが、小生も同伴者も辛さは感じるが何ともなかった。パパイヤの歯切れと爽やかさがなんともいい。チャーンビールなど、を順次追加しつつガッツリと頂いた夜だった。
もう少し安いと助かるが、きれいな店で味もいいと思う。
