Restaurant highlights |
A cafe where you can enjoy simple farm-style cooking using fresh vegetables and rice grown in the mountain villages of Hakuba, made with seasonal ingredients.
Hakuba Farm Nou Cafe serves homemade dishes, including side dishes made with fresh vegetables harvested by the staff themselves, and rice cooked with freshly milled rice. The "Onigiri Set Meal" brings |
A cafe run by an agricultural corporation in Hakuba. The cafe focuses on locally grown rice and vegetables. They also sell processed foods such as jams and dressings at the attached store. There are several tables inside the store, and there is also a terrace where dogs are allowed outside. Since we visited on the weekend, we had to wait 30 minutes, but we killed time by looking around the processed foods and nearby shops before entering the store. In addition to meals, the menu also includes Sweets. We visited for lunch, so we ordered Shinshu pork Katsu-don (Pork cutlet bowl) (1,200 yen). The service of the staff was not bad, but we waited 30 minutes as a group, and after ordering, we waited almost an hour. This may be an amateur's opinion, but I thought that Onigiri and Katsu-don (Pork cutlet bowl) were dishes that didn't take that much time, but we waited quite a while. However, the basics were homemade. And the food was delicious. The locally grown rice in particular was excellent. It went well with the unusual katsu with soy sauce sauce, and was light and not heavy. The miso soup was also full of vegetables, so it went well with rice. The Onigiri set meal (1,000 yen) that my companion ordered was also very filling, and the side dishes were plentiful and delicious. It might be a good choice if you are prepared to wait in line on weekdays when there are few people, or on holidays.
