島原にあるカフェです。
築100年近くになる、木造の青い外壁の
元、理髪店。
数十年前まで理髪店として営業していたとのことで、
大きな鏡が設えられた店内は、当時のまま。
とってもフレンドリーなお店のスタッフさんが、
木枠窓がどう上下に動いて開閉するかを教えて
くれました。
天井を見上げると、斜めの互い違いに板が
はめ込まれ、凹凸があるのかのような目の錯覚を
利用した設計。 昔の職人さんの技に関心です。
ちなみに、この建物は、国登録有形文化財です。
この日、お願いしたのは、
島原有機和紅茶 華美（ハナミ） 450円。
島原産の和紅茶に、島原苺、クコ、菊花、薔薇、桑の実が
ブレンドされていて、コクと風味が楽しめます。
サービスのクッキーが美味でした。
ちなみに、自家製スイーツも、3種類ほどありました。
心惹かれましたが、ランチ前なので、我慢しました。笑
島原の人のやさしさとフレンドリーさに、
癒されたひとときでした。
